On behalf of Department of Ethnic Studies of Institute of Sociology at Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences you are kindly invited to the research seminar “The interplay of ethnic and religious identities in changing historical and social contexts“. The data that was collected through qualitative fieldwork and qualitative media content analysis will be presented during the event. We’ll discuss how the interplay of such dimensions of identity as ethnicity and religion is constructed in the context of the printed media, schools, and religious organizations. The seminar is organized in the framework of the project “Ethno–confessional identity and social inclusion in Lithuanian society after 1990: the cases of Russian orthodox and Polish Catholic communities” that have received funding from the Research Council of Lithuania (LMTLT) (agreement No. S-LIP-19-60).
