On the 20th August, 2019 LSRC signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishing Communities of PrACTice for advancing gender equality in RPOs and RFOs across Europe and became a member of the Community of Practice (CoP) for Gender Equality in Central and Eastern Europe. As a member of the CoP, the LSRC committed to support and contribute to its activities by promoting and supporting an institutional change to advance gender equality in the research organizations and, for this purpose, cooperate with other members the CoP for Gender Equality in Central and Eastern Europe.
This MoU is part of the EC H2020 project #ACTonGender (https://www.act-on-gender.eu/project), that seeks to advance gender equality at universities, research centers and research funding organizations by facilitating collaboration between experienced institutions in the implementation of gender equality plans with less experienced ones. The MoU remains in place until the end of the “Communities of PrACTice” Project which is 30 April 2021.
It is planned that the next meeting of the CoP will be hosted by LSRC in November 2019.
